Jonathan Woodhouse  →  Teaching

Jonathan has over ten years' experience of teaching singing, flute, piano and music theory and has achieved success with examinations from beginner through to advanced levels. As part of his training, he received tuition as a undergraduate at Cardiff University and has attended teaching courses and conferences hosted by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, Birmingham Music Service and the Elgar School of Music in Worcester. Jonathan is currently active as a teacher in Salisbury and the surrounding area and welcomes enquiries from children and adults of all levels.

Singing

Jonathan teaches singing at Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School in Salisbury and at Stroud Preparatory School in Romsey having previously held positions at King's Hawford School and Bredon School in Gloucestershire. He has worked with ABRSM, Trinity and LCM Musical Theatre examination boards and has experience of working with pupils of all levels.

Flute

As a flute teacher, Jonathan has held teaching positions at the Elgar School of Music and with Birmingham Music Service and currently teaches a number of private pupils from his home in Salisbury. He has experience of teaching both ABRSM and Trinity examination boards and has achieved success with grades from beginner to advanced levels.

Piano/Accompanist

As a pianist, Jonathan has passed his grade 8 examination with distinction and is experienced with teaching beginner to intermediate levels. He is also able to accompany pupils in lessons and examinations if required.

As part of his instrumental and singing tuition, Jonathan is also very happy to coach pupils towards GCSE or A Level performance assessments.

In addition to instrumental and singing teaching, Jonathan offers training for aural tests and music theory from beginner to advanced levels.
